Digital printing is a cost effective way to produce high quality graphics with a variety of SKU’s or design copies. Benefits of Digital Printing: 250 minimum order quantity • No Plate Charges • Photo quality high end graphics • Ability to quickly change out text, graphics, SKU’s • Clear labels look crisp with our Digital Opaque White • Labels can be Hot Foil or Cold Foil Stamped • Labels can be Embossed • FDA approved materials and inks • UL approved materials and inks
Flexographic Printing
Creating a unique look to your label is a critical part of marketing your product.
Label Aid utilizes Flexo printing equipment for all medium to long run orders. Short run jobs are produced on our Digital Presses. See our Digital Printing Method for more information.
Flexo printing utilizes rotary printing presses to produce labels, tags, and tapes. These presses produce high quality production at 500 feet per minute. Flexo printing involves mounting printing plates (which are composed of a photopolymer material, similar to rubber) to a cylinder. These plate cylinders rotate and receive ink from the anilox roller. The anilox emits a varying amount of ink onto the plate based on the amount of cells on the anilox roller. Higher amount of cells lay up less ink than the lower line cells. The anilox gets the ink from the metering roll which is gaining ink from the ink pan itself. These rollers work together to produce the high speed, fast drying print method that we refer to as flexographic printing.
Label Aid offers 5 flexo printing press lines. Our presses are unique due to the fact that they offer a variety of color and finishing options. The smaller presses are perfect for 1 – 3 color jobs, while the larger presses are capable of 8 color UV, Foil Stamping, Embossing, as well as front and back printing. In-line Video inspection allows the operator to verify the labels are in registration while operating the press at speeds up to 500 feet per minute.
A variety of materials can be used in flexo printing. This is due to the fact that water based and UV inks will adhere to a wide variety of substrates. Material, adhesive, and print technique options are limitless with flexo printing.
Two-Sided Label Printing
Are you looking for a unique way to make your product stand out from the crowd? Two sided labels may be your answer. Two sided labels have printed information on the front and back of the label material. Two sided labels are useful in many industries, from nutraceutical products that may be required to list a lot of information by law or a distillery that would like to give their bottle that unique edge to stand out from competitors.
